Hike
Schafberg Railway
The cog railway takes you from Sankt Wolfgang on Lake Wolfgang up to the Schafberg (1783 m).
From the summit of the Schafberg mountain, there is a unique view of the lakes of the Salzkammergut region. Besides Lake Wolfgang, Lake Attersee, Lake Fuschl, and Lake Mondsee, a total of 13 lakes can be seen.
Twelve-horn
A cable car runs from St. Gilgen to the summit of the Zwölferhorn. Magnificent views of the Salzkammergut region.
Postalm
The largest contiguous alpine pasture area in Austria. Typical alpine dishes are offered in the many alpine huts.
Untersberg
The Untersberg mountain near Salzburg is known for its many mystical caves. A cable car provides easy access to the mountain station at around 1,800 meters, from where there is a wonderful view of Salzburg and the surrounding area.

Dachstein Giant Ice Cave
The Dachstein Giant Ice Cave contains 13,000 m³ of ice with a surface area of 5,000 m². In some parts of the cave, such as the Tristandome, the ice reaches a thickness of 20 m. The ice masses are approximately 500 years old.

Gut Aiderbichl
Gut Aiderbichl is a farm where old and abused animals are given a place to live out their days, a so-called sanctuary.

St. Wolfgang
A trip on the Wolfgangsee boats and the Schafberg Railway is one of the most unforgettable experiences in the magnificent natural landscape of the Salzkammergut region. The area is particularly famous for the White Horse Inn (Weißes Rössl) and the Gothic winged altarpiece by Michael Pacher in the pilgrimage church of St. Wolfgang.
The Imperial Villa Bad Ischl
It was the summer residence of Emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Elisabeth of Austria.
The villa and park are open to the public during the summer months.
